July 13 and 14

Jul

On July 13 I associate shot a wedding and that was my whole day. It was beautiful and wonderful and I enjoyed almost eery minute of it! I never love the back ache that follows, but this couple was so in love and it was everything I want from a wedding day and I’m so grateful that I was a part of it.

On July 14 I took the day off – I swam in the ocean, and cleaned out and organize 75% of my garage. The other 25% is sorting and organizing tools and screws which sounds tedious and annoying and I don’t think I really want to do. I also don’t feel like I have a really good system to do it. Like I don’t have a tool box with individual compartments to organize the screws into. Maybe I’ll hit up the dollar store and see what I can find in the way of organization there. I looked on FB marketplace for tackle boxes and tool boxes and craft boxes and didn’t come up with exactly what I was looking for.

I like writing things down every day. It makes me feel grounded. I saw a tiktok for a poem of the month club, and I liked that a lot. It makes me want to launch something like a photo of the month club. Or postcard of the month club. Like every month I send you a piece of my artwork based on a theme with a little love note. I actually have really good handwriting it could be so cute.

I’m working on making an extra 5k this month and so far I’ve gotten $650 made! I have some thoughts about other things to do an implement. But right now I’m taking a minute to be proud of the $650 worth of progress I have made! The breakdown of what I’ve gotten so far is:

$300 in tips from photo sessions

$150 from selling on FB marketplace

$200 from clients purchasing gallery upgrades

All of those things are really positive and I’m so thankful for them! I’m expecting payment from the wedding I associate shot, but I haven’t received it yet. So as soon as I do I can add it to the tally!

Thank you for being here – it’s nice not to feel alone
